Launch Your Digital Wellbeing Venture at UPBEAT Barcelona 2025.
Join us in Barcelona from July 7th to July 18th, 2025, for UPBEAT, an immersive summer school designed to empower participants with the skills to drive innovation in Digital Wellbeing. Through hands-on experiences, agile methodologies, and real-world challenges, participants will prototype solutions, develop viable business models, and connect with industry leaders.
Hosted by the Universitat de Barcelona, UPBEAT offers a structured learning experience integrating academic knowledge, entrepreneurial training, and industry engagement. The program spans two weeks, covering key Digital Wellbeing concepts, business model development, and financial strategies. Participants will engage in lectures, team-building exercises, and industry case studies, culminating in a final pitch event before a panel of industry professionals and investors. The program awards 4 ECTS credits.
Participants will engage in workshops integrating Design Thinking, Agile Development, and Sprint methodologies, receive expert mentoring during structured sessions and on-demand, and connect with Barcelona’s thriving innovation ecosystem. Leveraging the expertise of Universitat de Barcelona and StartUB!, UPBEAT provides access to leading researchers, entrepreneurs, and investors. The program focuses on AI in wellbeing, telemedicine, and immersive technologies, addressing real-world challenges and fostering entrepreneurial skills.
UPBEAT aligns with EIT Digital’s mission by integrating innovation, education, and business activities in Digital Wellbeing. Participants will develop skills to turn ideas into ventures, with industry engagement through startups, the Barcelona Health Hub, and expert panels. The program emphasizes opportunity validation, customer analysis, and financial modeling, ensuring participants are equipped with future-proof skills.
