Is this programme right for me?
The EIT DIGITAL Summer Schools welcome bachelor and master students, young professionals and others who want to deep-dive in emerging digital technologies. Our programmes focus on business innovation and entrepreneurship. Please note that specific technical education is NOT a prerequisite to enrol in our Summer School programmes, other educational backgrounds are welcomed too.
Can undergraduate students participate in the summer schools?
Undergraduate students still studying must have completed at least one academic year of their bachelor’s degree programme.
Can Ph.D. students apply for the summer schools?
Summer schools are not always aimed for Ph.D. students. Please check the web page describing the programme and the target audience.
What is the application process?
The application process is simple and take few steps. After clicking on the APPLY button on the website, you need to complete the following tabs in the Application Portal:

Once your application is submitted, a selection committee will evaluate it. According to the quality of your application, the committee will determine if you are eligible to join the Summer School.
Acceptance letters are sent on a rolling basis. When you apply, you can expect to hear back from us within one-two weeks.
You are required to accept your place in the Summer School by paying the tuition fee via the online payment tool Mollie within 15 days. If you are restricted from paying via the tool due to regulations in your country, or similar limitations, the alternative option is a bank transfer.
English language proficiency?
It’s a prerequisite to be fluent in English in order to be able to attend the course.
Do I receive a certificate?
After the summer school, participants will receive the EIT Digital Summer School Certificate of Completion.
Tuition fee
What does the Tuition Fee include?
EIT Digital provides a competitive offer that includes the lectures, workshops, company visits, meals (lunches and some dinners during the social events), outdoor team building activities.
Do you offer any discounts?
If your university or company is an EIT Digital Partner, you are entitled to a 30% tuition waiver. Please mention your university/organisation's name during the application process.
How do I pay the tuition fee?
After acceptance of your application, you will be requested to proceed with the online payment of the Tuition Fee to EIT Digital Education Foundation. If the fee is not received within 15 days, the application is considered declined.
Are there other ways to pay?
You can also pay through a bank transfer. In that case, please contact summerschools@eitdigital.eu. Also online transfer App, for example Transferwise, WorldRemit, Revolut, etc. will work.
My company will pay the tuition fee and needs an invoice
In case your company will pay tuition fee, and first needs an invoice before setting the payment, please fill in the company contact info in your application and an e-mail with an invoice will be sent to your company by education.foundation@eitdigital.eu.
When will I receive the payment confirmation?
Once your Tuition Fee is received, you will receive an e-mail containing confirmation and a paid copy of your invoice. This may take 7-10 business days to confirm.

What is the format of the summer school?
The format of the summer school is in class.
Can I change the summer school?
If you wish to change your summer school location, please send a mail to summerschools@eitdigital.eu
How can I cancel my participation?
If, for any reason, you have to cancel your registration, you can be fully refunded if you cancel 45 days or more prior to the start of the programme.
For cancellations later than 45 days before the start of the Summer Schools, the following refund policy is as follows:
- 15 days or less prior to the start of the Summer School no refund
- 15-45 days prior to the start of the Summer School 30% of the fee
Cancellations must be received in writing at summerschools@eitdigital.eu

Travel and health insurance
We highly recommend that you have travel and health insurance that covers for the whole period of the summer school.
