To qualify for admission, applicants need to submit a completed application form and fulfil the admission requirements:
Academic qualification - post-secondary education (bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or doctoral degree). Undergraduate students still studying must have completed at least one academic year of their bachelor’s degree programme and have at least one year of work or internship experience.
English language proficiency (English language proficiency test such as TOEFL or IELTS, successful completion of previous education in English, completion of ESL programme, completion of other English language courses, etc.).

NOTICE: Summer School is mandatory for EIT Digital Master School students, between first and second year of their studies. EIT Digital Master School students don't pay Summer School tuition fees if attending for the very first time as stated above. Students who are applying to EIT Digital Master School don't need to inquire or apply to Summer School programmes until they have started their studies. At that point, internal communication is sent to all Master School students, along with a separate Summer School programmes application form.

Stipends and grants
Coventry University Sponsorship
Coventry University is offering scholarship opportunities for 20 participants interested to attend the UK EIT Digital Summer School: “DATA, VISUALISATION AND CONNECTIVITY FOR HEALTHCARE”. This sponsorship is open for anyone who is studying healthcare towards a healthcare related discipline, professionals working in a healthcare field, the health supply chain or organisations developing technology relevant to health; UK and International applicants are welcomed.
The scholarship will pay for tuition fee.
To be considered for this sponsorship, please follow these steps:
- Submit your application to EIT Digital Summer School by 24 May 2021
- Please make sure to add the code "CUSTIPEND2021” to our online application form
- Your application is reviewed by EIT Digital
Note: Due to a limited number of scholarships, those applicants who did not receive one, will be able to either proceed with self-financing or cancel their registration.
Support for students from ARISE countries
Support is available to a limited number of Summer School participants: Students currently enrolled at a university AND who have a nationality in one of the following 14 EU countries (ARISE): Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Estonia, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia. The support includes costs of the fee waiver, travel, lodging, and food expenses.
Please note, if you would like to be considered for this support, the last application date is April 1, 2021. You don't need to submit a separate application form to be considered for the RIS fund support.
The support is merit-based and is given to an individual for one occasion only. Participants who are admitted to other EIT Digital's programme, don't qualify for this particular RIS support.
FiTech sponsorship for Finnish participants
A limited number of Finnish participants will be sponsored to attend EIT Digital Summer School. This sponshorship is for professionals with residence in Finland who are not students at the moment and have a bachelor's or higher degree, and/or work experience in technology sector. If a participant is approved by FITech, the EIT Digital Summer School programme is free of charge. In this case FITech sponsors the participant by paying the EIT Digital Summer School programme fee.
The Finnish Institute of Technology (FITech) was founded in 2017 by seven Finnish universities of technology, Technology Industries of Finland (Teknologiateollisuus) and the Academic Engineers and Architects in Finland TEK. The founding mission of FITech is to contribute to the development of Finnish innovation capacity and to respond to competence demands arising in the field of engineering.
To be considered for this sponsorship, please follow these steps:
- Submit your application to EIT Digital Summer School by 10 May 2021
- Please make sure to add the code "FITECH2021" to our online application form
- When accepted by EIT Digital Summer School, our acceptance email will have instructions to complete the FiTech application
- Submit your application to FiTech between 29 March and 20 May 2021
Cancellation by Participant
If, for any reason, you have to cancel your registration, you can be refunded up to 90 percent of the Summer school fee if you cancel 45 days or more prior to the start of the Summer School programme.
For cancellations later than 45 days before the start of the Summer Schools, the refund policy is as follows:
- 15 days or less prior to the start of the Summer School no refund
- 15-45 days prior to the start of the Summer School 50% of the fee
Cancellations must be received in writing at email@example.com
The participant can be substituted by someone from the same organisation for the same programme without extra costs. Please, inform in such case the Summer School office about the replacer and have them send in a motivation letter, photo, cv and a copy of his or her passport. The replacer should also take the assignment in the starter kit.
Cancellation by EIT Digital
EIT Digital reserves the right to cancel any summer school programme before its start date, in our absolute discretion without any further liability on our part, by giving you notice in writing in accordance. In this case, the participant will be eligible for a full refund of the already paid fee. Other costs are non-reimbursable.
EIT Digital reserves the right to modify the dates of a summer school programme in our absolute discretion without any further liability on our part. If the participant does not agree to take the summer school programme on the proposed new dates, the participant will be eligible for a full refund of the already paid fee. Other costs are non-reimbursable.
We may also offer you a transfer to another summer school programme as an alternative, subject to payment or refund of any difference in the purchase price.
