The application portal to join the Summer School programmes in 2022 is open now.
Early bird application deadline is 1 April 2022. General application deadline is 1 June 2022.

How to apply

To qualify for admission, applicants need to submit a completed application form and fulfil the admission requirements:

  1. Academic qualification - post-secondary education (bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, or doctoral degree). Undergraduate students still studying must have completed at least one academic year of their bachelor’s degree programme and have at least one year of work or internship experience.

  2. English language proficiency (English language proficiency test such as TOEFL or IELTS, successful completion of previous education in English, completion of ESL programme, completion of other English language courses, etc.).

  3. Submit a Curriculum Vitae

  4. Submit a copy of the photo page of the passport or ID

When your application is accepted, you will be invoiced according to your Summer School fee category.

NOTICE: Summer School is mandatory for EIT Digital Master School students, between first and second year of their studies. EIT Digital Master School students don't pay Summer School tuition fees if attending for the very first time as stated above. Students who are applying to EIT Digital Master School don't need to inquire or apply to Summer School programmes until they have started their studies. At that point, internal communication is sent to all Master School students, along with a separate Summer School programmes application form.

The costs of attending EIT Digital Summer School are listed below. Please examine the information carefully.

*Early bird fees are available for applications submitted between 3 January and 1 April 2022.

***Accommodation cost is for 2 weeks in a twin room shared with another participant, pending availability. At this moment we cannot confirm single use rooms.

Please note: EIT Digital Master School students don't pay tuition and fees if attending for the very first time, between their first and second year of studies.

EIT Digital Summer School Deferred Tuition Payment Plan

Thanks to a new collaboration agreement with the European Investment Fund (EIF), EIT Digital will offer to EIT Digital Summer School applicants  the option to defer the payment of the tuition fees.

The Deferred Tuition Payment Plan allows applicants to enroll to the EIT Digital Summer School, but to pay the tuition fees in November 2022.

No separate application form for the EIT Digital Summer School Deferred Tuition Payment Plan is needed, but additional documentation is required. When you apply to the EIT Digital Summer School in the online application portal, you will be asked to confirm whether you apply to the deferred payment option in installments. If you select the option, you will be required to upload a valid credit report (please check this list to know the organization issuing credit reports in your country). 

The number of applicants accepted for the EIT Digital Summer School Deferred Tuition Payment plan is limited. Applicants will be selected based on merit. Selected applicants will be informed at the time the study offers are sent.

Cancellations

Cancellation by Participant

If, for any reason, you have to cancel your registration, you can be refunded up to 90 percent of the Summer school fee if you cancel 45 days or more prior to the start of the Summer School programme.

For cancellations later than 45 days before the start of the Summer Schools, the refund policy is as follows:

  • 15 days or less prior to the start of the Summer School no refund
  • 15-45 days prior to the start of the Summer School 50% of the fee

In case of COVID-19 related circumstances (travel restrictions etc.), the participant will be eligible for a full refund of the already paid fee. Other costs are non-reimbursable. 

Cancellations must be received in writing at summerschools@eitdigital.eu

Replacements

The participant can be substituted by someone from the same organisation for the same programme without extra costs. Please, inform in such case the Summer School office about the replacer and have them send in a motivation letter, photo, cv and a copy of his or her passport. The replacer should also take the assignment in the starter kit.

Cancellation by EIT Digital

EIT Digital reserves the right to cancel any summer school programme before its start date, in our absolute discretion without any further liability on our part, by giving you notice in writing in accordance. In this case, the participant will be eligible for a full refund of the already paid fee. Other costs are non-reimbursable. 

EIT Digital reserves the right to modify the dates of a summer school programme in our absolute discretion without any further liability on our part. If the participant does not agree to take the summer school programme on the proposed new dates, the participant will be eligible for a full refund of the already paid fee. Other costs are non-reimbursable. 

We may also offer you a transfer to another summer school programme as an alternative, subject to payment or refund of any difference in the purchase price.
