Build the future with intelligent embedded systems

Autonomous, intelligent, or AI-driven energy-saving embedded systems will build and design our future. The integration of most advanced hardware and software technologies in those devices and the way they can answer critical applications in a secure way is a key challenge for developing business based on embedded systems.

The Summer School “Build the Future with Intelligent Embedded Systems” is a two-week, intensive, project-based program dedicated to the design of next-generation embedded systems integrating microcontrollers, sensors, low-power electronics, embedded AI, and rapid prototyping. Participants get to work in multidisciplinary teams on real industrial challenges by STMicroelectronics. The program aims to equip learners with both advanced technical skills and the entrepreneurial mindset required to transform embedded technologies into viable, responsible digital innovations.

Learners follow a full innovation cycle, from problem definition and system specification to prototyping, validation, and business model development. The program will combine short expert lectures, hands-on technical workshops, and extensive collaborative project work conducted in a coworking and codesign environment.

This includes:

  • Technical modules on embedded architectures, sensor interfacing, low-power design, edge AI deployment, and rapid hardware prototyping using Fablab facilities
  • Sessions on innovation, entrepreneurship, ethics, sustainability and I&E
  • Work on a proof-of-concept or demonstrator, a structured project report, finalized with a business pitch.

Join this summer school if you are looking to build knowledge of advanced embedded technologies but also develop skills to analyze, innovate and build business cases in a innovation journey.
